K1000 - Unable to submit tickets via email

 Hi

Recently our K1000 system has stopped successfully logging requests via email (SMTP). We have several queues and the problem is occurring for all the queues. I have tried recreating the hub transport rules via MS Exchange and this had been working previously. The user trying submit a request via email will receive an email, similar to below:

This message was created automatically by the SMTP relay on mail01.ostwaldbros.com.au.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to all of its recipients.

The following address(es) failed:

  itsupport@k1000bris.domainname

    Unrouteable address

Has anybody come across this issue before or have any suggestions on how to resolve it?

Thanks

Answer Summary:
Made the following change in Microsoft Exchange Console: Create a New send connector by browsing to Organisation Configuration --> Hub Transport --> Send Connectors - We called the new connector KBOX, under the Network tab, selected 'Route mail through the following smart hosts', Clicked on Add and entered the IP Address of our K1000 server.

Just an update on this:

Even though we had the contact, mailbox, hub transport rules and associated settings configured correctly and it had been working for several years, the only way we could get this to work after it started failing was to complete the steps below in the Microsoft Exchange Console:

 - Create a New send connector by browsing to  Organisation Configuration --> Hub Transport --> Send Connectors

- We called the new connector KBOX, under the Network tab, selected 'Route mail through the following smart hosts', Clicked on Add and entered the IP Address of our K1000 server.
