It's located in the registry but it's encrypted, making finding it difficult without help.
use programs like below to find.

If I can make a suggestion. I did answer this link the last time, but I'm not sure that putting keys up on the kbox is a good idea. It seems like they would be too accessible.
If you do choose to use that Powershell script I would suggest adding the following to the beginning.
$comp= gc env:computername
$file= "\\some\share\$comp-key.txt"
This will create at txt file with "computer name-key" as the title. This way you can still have it, but it will be on a share somewhere instead of where it's easily accessible. - dugullett 12 years ago
