You should still be able to reset from the Patch Detail page. This issue will be addressed in future release.

  • Reset tries is also greyed out for me on the patch detail page. Security › Patch Management › Patch Detail. A few machines failed for the Print Spool Vuln. and we need this patched asap. - welcometothe 3 years ago

I managed to get around this by increasing the maximum deploy attempts in the patch schedule.

Quest indicates that this is being worked on under defect K1-31900. I am also unable to reset tries from the Device -> Security -> Patching Detect/Deploy status or the Patch Detail screen.

Same issue here, tried marking the patch as inactive then active again. Seemed to work since the deploy count wen back to 0, but as soon as I went to apply the patch the count updated to 3 deploy tries again.
