KBE failing to boot on Latitude E6520
We have been having issues with newer Dell Latitude E6520s PXE booting from our K2000. We get the K2000 boot menu, select a KBE, usually the x64 but we have also seen the issue with the x86. The ISO starts loading, dots fill the screen like normal. When the ISO is mostly loaded, an error flashes up too fast to read and then it goes right back to the K2000 boot menu. I have been able to make out some of the words in the error but not all of them. Sounds like it is saying something along the lines of not enough memory to load selected image. These laptops have 8GB of RAM in them. We have some slightly older latitude E6520s that are working just fine.
Any ideas?

Which version of the BIOS are you running? There's a known issue with the A08 BIOS and PXE booting. See: http://www.itninja.com/blog/view/dell-bios-a08-and-its-pxe-bug

I just wanted to point out that this problems sounds exactly like the issue I was having that caused me to write that blog post. - Ben M 12 years ago

We had A09 on them and upgraded to A13 in the process of troubleshooting. Looks like the Optiplex 990 A13 is also mentioned, but we have had PXE boot working on those. So which version works for the E6520s? - ncsutmf 12 years ago
