KBOX 1000 with vmware workstation

Hello All,

I am in process of evaluating KBOX 1000. I have a lab environment on my laptop running on vmware workstation with one Active Directory machine. I wanted to understand how can I integrate KBOX Virtual appliance with my lab environment which is running on VMware workstation

You've got to import the OVF... I can't remember if this is possible with VMware Workstation. I know I was able to run the trial in Workstation about a year ago, but it wasn't a straight forward process. Try Googling something like "ovf vmware workstation".

It's definitely possible- that's what mine runs on every day. Feel free to reach out to your support engineer, or myself if you need any assistance.

Thanks again for your help.

Kindly let me know what is the best way to reach you. I am also in Dell Services Desktop Engineering team.

I too use VMware Workstation to run my KBOX in a lab environment.

Just use the VMware Workstation "File" -> "Open" , change the dropdown menu to look for OVF files from the default of *.vmx

It will create a VM from the OVF file
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
