Looking for How to Show Switch Port Mappings in KACE SMA

Looking for a way to have switches scanned and have list of what device is plugged into each port along with if port is up/down and vlan for port.

This is an example of what we had when using Lansweeper and looking to do in KACE SMA.

Currently using Dell Switches.

You are very much in the hands of Cisco here as to what information you will be able to pull back into KACE using the agentless functionality via SNMP. If Cisco provide that data then you will need to create fields in your inventory item to pull back the data and populate in the SMA.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst2960x/software/15-0_2_EX/network_management/configuration_guide/b_nm_15ex_2960-x_cg/b_nm_15ex_2960-x_cg_chapter_0100.html

Here is the link to the SNMP Guide for the Cisco switch you provided as an example

Good Luck

  • This was just an example I found on the Lansweeper site. We are using Dell Switches. When we had Lansweeper we were able to get this same info that is shown for the Cisco switches. - eriksont 2 years ago
