moving ORG KACE version 8 to KACE version 11
I want to update the version from KACE SMA version 8 to KACE SMA version 11. Can all ORG configurations (filters) be move from KACE SMA version 8 to version 11? How does it work

The update is the same for all KACE SMA based products (like KACE as a Service, SMA, SMA with orgs etc)
1. you do a full backup and store it on a safe place.
2. upgrade to the next version
3. repeat 1+2 until you are done

With every update the database, org filters and everything else will be converted into the new version so you don't need to think about this.
Also update your agents regulary, since old agents may not work well with current versions.
Depending on your needs you can stop after the major version (SMA 9.0, SMA10.0, SMA 11.0) and upgrade all agents or uninstall all agents and reinstall the latest ones after you have updated to 11.0.

The update of an SMA is the same regardless of a single or multi org box, you just need to go to Settings>Appliance Updates and check for update.
The bigger issue you may have is that the Quest support site no longer has the updates from 8.x to the current 11.x system and you cannot jump updates, so you will need to step through all updates to get your system up to date. We have done this in the past for many customers stuck on old versions, as old as 6.4, it was particularly important with the change to patches and updates when version 10 was released, so if you need any help with this process then please contact me and ask.
