Odd error from Macs

We have recently started deploying the K1000 agent to our environment. We have a mix of Windows and Mac computers. Our deployment to Macs is currently at 48 machines. Half of those, 24, are reporting the following message in the "Notes:" field:

MacUtil.class: The agent is uploading invalid inventory information to the K1000. We've attempted to load what information it has sent, but it is incomplete and should not be relied on for completeness or correctness. Please make sure you are running the latest version of the agent. This note will be overwritten each time there are problems. The REMOTE_ADDR was '###.###.###.###'. auto heal failure to import, loading non-SystemProfiler information only Unknown Processor Type, defaulting OS_ARCH to 'ppc'

The spread for operating system is Mac OS X 10.4.11 to 10.7.2. But two-thirds of these inventoried Macs are 10.6.7 or 10.6.8. The agent versions are 5.3.47173 for all 48 Macs inventoried. The K1100 server is at version 5.3.45497.

Has anyone else seen this? Any suggestions on resolving these reports would be most appreciated!

I saw this when installing 5.3 on my test macbook (evil things, KACE needs functionality to make mac and user disappear [:@] ), when I reverted to 5.1 things seemed to kinda go back to normal although the error message stayed I was able to get an inventory of software and attempt to deploy apps.

Sorry to be less than helpful.

nbs: The power of UNIX in an easy to use package should be Microsoft's ambition... maybe one day ;)

Grayematter: I too had this on some of my mac machines. I found that updating to the latest agent build (5.3.47657) has rid me of this. I suggest upgrading ALL your machines to this build version.
