Problems deploying MS Office 2010 to remote locations

hello all-

i have been trying to push office 2010 this week and i am having some issues. on monday office install fine at my main location and i try to do a push last night to 20 computers at different location only 3 computers received the install. i am not having network issues. what could be the problem?

If you are pushing it over a small pipe like a T1, it's going to saturate your connection and cause this problem. 

Given the install is like 600Mb plus and it would have to download to each individual system, that would happen very easily.

I'd suggest using a replication share, otherwise it's going to take a fairly long time to push to 20 systems. 

Short of that, enable debug and push again to one of the systems that failed.  If it fails again, get the logs (kdeploy especially) and let us know what the error is.

At the bottom of your managed install click "show all". This will list if it even attempted to install.

Are you using a replication share for this different location?

Are you giving the users the option to snooze?

Which deployement tool you are making use of?

Have you checked the log file ?

Are you trying to install Office 2010 on Windows XP machines? If so, Is Windows XP SP3 installed on those machine?
