Office 2010 - K2000

We want to have Office 2010 installed as a post installation task with Kace 2000.

Can we put the Office 2010 DVD as a zip file on the Kace 2000, or do we need to start the installation from a network share?

Please help us with a best practice installing Office 2010.

I zipped up the ISO and put the office.msp in the updates folder and launch the setup.exe.  No problems.

Copy the contents from the iso or dvd to local folder. Open a command prompt and navigate to the new folder. Type in setup.exe /admin and that will open the Office Customization tool.  In this you can provide information like your org name, license key, installation states, etc...  Save the msp file in the updates folder. Zip all the files and folders up in the new folder.  Create a new post install task for an application. Upload the resulting zip file to the K2. The command line will be setup.exe. Apply the post install task to a scripted install/image and it should install office using the msp file (answer file).

You want to create an admin install and you can zip and upload that, as long as you have the space.
