Patch download failure - Replication share

I have some clients in a remote office that are getting errors downloading patches from the replication share.
error (Signature Download Failed)

Logs indicate "DownloadSMBFile: unable to copy file from <kboxpath>repl2/patches/windows/x86-xpsp3.lst.zip.2e499e62277bd00430a9ec8e5789d8ad'...The system cannot find the file specified."
and those files are not found in the repl share patch directory

The repl share does not have the files needed, but the replication inventory refresh shows nothing to replicate.

Is there a method to replicate the needed files without deleting and rebuilding the entire patch folder? Since it's about 100gb, it would be preferable to not to replicate the entire directory over the WAN

You can manually copy them from another share, the patch IDs are the same for each replication share.

cool idea! is there a way to access the patch share on the kbox? Everything seems to be hidden except 'client' dir.

I'm not sure. In the past I've just added a folder on my local PC as a new replication share then copied it from there.

mlathrop,

The official answer is "No". The quick-fix is as Casey described. However, if this happens a lot, then you might want to contact KACE Support. r2
