Patch reporting
I've designed a report to show me everything that has been deployed in the last seven days. One field I've also included is the Detect date. When I run the report I see that for many patches the Deploy Date is before the Detect Date. I don't understand. Why would Kace push a patch to machine before the Detect determined that the machine needed it?

The Detect Schedule has run again, since the Deploy happened. It continues to detect whether the device has the patch, still needs it, needs it again, etc. So, the Detect date will always reflect the most recent date/time of the Detect Schedule.
