Patching

Hi

I have a question, do you know if it's possible to make a deny group for patching other than making a label smart label that exclude the PC's ?

We have a few lab/production PC's that we do not like to patch, but all other PC's should be patched, currently we are patching depending on IP range, but the PC's are in the same range as the normal PC's and I would still like the PC's to be able to install software via KACE.

Is the only way to do a smart label that exclude them or can there be created a "deny" label for them ?

- René :)

The only way is to make a label that excludes those PCs. You can have a label on the deny group and have a label that excludes members of the deny label. If the deny label is a smart label then you will have two smart labels in play so you need to make sure that the evaluation order of your labels has the deny label evaluated first.

This has been a feature request in the past- no harm in asking again via support or http://kace.uservoice.com
