PDF24 Creator Install

Good morning. I've done a fairly good number and variety of styles of managed installed via KBOX so far but I'm having an odd, and hopefully simple, problem with a small application install. I'm trying to set up an silent distribution of PDF24 Creator. I'm deploying only to Windows XP SP3 workstations. The distribution has only the .exe installer uploaded and I'm just running a default installation with the 'verysilent' switch.

This command works fine if I run it from the command prompt on a local computer. However when I run the same commands via a KBOX managed install it does install, but only after twice throwing the following error on the target computer:

pdf24.exe Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.

Wondered if anyone has thoughts or suggestions.

Thanks.

You may need to check the rights being used to do the install.
Instead of a managed install try installing it as a script using the "Run As" feature to elevate the privileges for the installer.

I think craig is on the right track, running the application installer may not work with the local system user. You can test it via script using run as or by opening a command prompt as the local system user: http://www.kace.com/support/kb/index.php?action=artikel&cat=5&id=731&artlang=en
