Possible confusion from old documentation: one service or two?
I'm trying to troubleshoot problems with the KBOX agent, using the 5.0 documentation and the tech notes I find in the KACE knowledgebase. It's possible that out-of-date information is adding to the confusion, so I'll ask here:
All the tech notes (all labeled for version 4.x) refer to two services running on (Windows) clients with the KBOX agent installed, a KBOX Management Service and the KBOX SMMP Management Service. On all my installations I see only the latter service (KBOXSMMP), and only one KBOX* in the Task Manager.
Am I missing a service, which suggests something went wrong during the installation? Sande

You can reference the new, single service in two ways: as KBOXSMMP or "Kbox Systems Management Service"
