K1000: Possible to Verify a Registry Key against an Active Directory Value?
Whenever we get a new employee but they are using an existing workstation, the description in Active directory gets changed manually but not the description field on the workstation.
The Kace appliance displays inventory information using the description field which shows the old data.
I can make the Kace appliance change the workstation description by using a script to modify the registry but this only works for a single specifically named workstation.
Is it possible for the script to do the following proces?
-Verify a certain key exists (yes it can do this one)
-If the key exists verify that the workstation description value equals the Active directory computer description value in AD.
-If it does not then change set the workstation description value to be equal to the Active directory computer description value in AD.
