Re: Uploading a new image to KACE2000

I am in the process of uploading a new Windows 11 22H2 into the Kace 2K from my VMBox. I have, already, uploaded the newest KBE using Media Manager. Do I have to make my new KBE (win11_22H2) default and if yes, how to do it? My virtual image failed a few times after sysprep 2, kept booting into VM image, although I left only "Optical Drive" as an booting option, pointing to correct KBE. Please, help. thank you

lets start:
No you don't have to set your new KBE as default (except you want to use it as default) But if you want to do this go to Settings |Control Panel | General Settings and under Boot Environment Options you can set it as the new default.

What error messages do you see?
For the default procedure for this you can refer to this article: https://support.quest.com/kb/4232511

Nico,

Thank you for your willingness to help! So, After running the second Sysprep, I uncheck the HD in settings, leaving only Network and Optical drive as an Option in my VM. Restarted VM expecting/hoping that it will now upload to our KACE 2K server, however, I get this "Permission denied - No more network devices" error.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you, wCi1lDUl2DEAAAAASUVORK5CYII=

Comments:
  • Next Server should be your KACE SDA IP.
It sounds like a DHCP is sending that PXE boot request somewhere else or asking for the wrong payload to the SDA.

In the Settings > Logs > TFP Log, Do you see this attempts logged there?

If not then the iPXE request is barking at the wrong tree. - Channeler 1 year ago

Nico,

Thank you for trying to help... here's a snapshot of the unsuccessful attempt to upload my "sysprepped" image from VMBox to KACE2000 - for deployment purposes:
