Rebuilding Virtual K1000 device
I understand that there is a build template that needs to be used to create a current virtual appliance. Where can I find that template? Our current build is several years old and getting slower by the day. When we asked about it, we were told that it needed to be built to the new template version to improve the performance after upgrading to version 11.

you can find it here: https://support.quest.com/kace-systems-management-appliance/11.1/download-new-releases
If you are using an older (unsupported) version you need to update to a supported version to rebuild
Keep in mind that when you restore backup files to a new appliance.
The source appliance and the destination appliance must be running the same version. 11.1 to 11.1 for example.
If you are on an old version say 8.x 7.x or even 6.x it is unlikely that Quest support will be willing to share the upgrade files that you will need to get this sorted. If that is the case, get in touch as we may well be able to help. The same goes for if you are on an old physical appliance and want to go to a virtual host, we will have the files to help you get out of that hole. If all that is impossible, then you may want to look at exporting resources to maintain functionality.

Sbaxter, Are you stating that you are experiencing performance issues with your SMA after upgrading to version 11?
The reason that I ask is that I have gone back and forth with Quest support after upgrading to version 11 and having horrible performance. We even have specs beyond our user count and still have an open ticket on the subject.
