Reinstall 5.1 agent
Reinstalling the 5.1 agent fixed some of my MI problems. Is it possible to get a kbin file for 5.1 and put it on the k1000 so I can downgrade the 5.3 agents?

Here's a link to the archived releases from Kace.

This link doesn't work anymore (January 2016). It just goes to a generic help page. - adamglass 8 years ago

I went to the archived client page, but under the Windows clients I only see the exe and bin files. No kbin file, and the agent uploader on the k1000 will only accept kbin files. Which door should I choose:
- Forget it, can't backrev the agent to 5.1 with the k1000 Agent installer (seriously cramps my style)
- rename the bin file to kbin and try again
I would just go ahead and rename the bin file, upload and set one pc to receive it, but I'm worried about it somehow affecting what already seems like a somewhat flaky k1000.
Thanks for any insights.

I have the exe installer, but I need a managed way to deploy since our users are not admins. Zenworks will get a lot for me, but we're trying to move off of that.
I'm guessing that if I rename the bin to kbin, upload to k1000 and try to deploy to one machine, I'll have my answer. What I'm worried about is that the k1000 may balk trying to read a file format that it doesn't like and mess up more than that agent (if a kbin file really is compiled differently than a bin file).
