Roaming laptop clients: Alt location, or Replication share, or ?
We have a large amount of laptops that connect in a couple different offices - or remotely via VPN. They may spend days or weeks at a time in one or more of the locations.
I see that I can create a replication share in the remote offices, but, is there anyway to tell the agent on the laptop to go to that office's replication share - instead of just going to the original replication share no matter which office they are currently in?

I solved this by creating smart tags for each site. The smart tag would be similiar if ip address contains 10.10.1 then tag site A and if then another tag if ip address contains 10.10.2 then tag site B. This way if the pc checks in and has a different ip address it would pull from the distribution that was tagged from that site. There might be a better way to do this but that is how I was handling it. I would love to hear other ways if anyone else has input. Good luck.
