Run report using "input variable"
Is it possible to create a report that uses data that you input when the report is run? For instance, create a report showing the details of closed tickets, by owner, for a specified date range. I would like to be able to run the report, be prompted for the ticket owner, start date, and end date, and then have the report return the data. Is this even possible in Kbox reports?

This is not currently possible. As you probably know, you could put in a sample date or user name in the report and then switch it when needed. If it is a simple report that can be duplicated in the search fields of the ticket list then that is also another option.

Definitely throwing an enhancement request in for this. It would be great to be able to create a generic report for help desk tickets and input a ticket owner's name so everyone could run their own reports from one template.

I put in an enhancement request for this yesterday. The open enhancement case # is 6427. If you want this feature, please submit a ticket to add yourself to the enhancement request.
