Scripting

I need a script to upload a file or all files if need be of a directory.  The file name will change based on the date and time, but, the extension and beginning will always be the same.  Obviously this works fine if I explicitly set the existing file name and it uploads to the device inventory.

Are regex allowed to verify and/or upload?  If so I am not finding one acceptable.  Have tried ., .log$, .log, and * as the file names.
