Snooze in Managed Installations dosent work as expected
When I have the "Alert user before run" notification on in a managed installation, the user gets the KUserAlert prompt when the client is being inventoried, so far so good.
They have the option to snooze the installation between 15 min up to 8 hours. But no matter what option the user chooses the prompt will not come up again until a new inventory has run on the client.
To clarify, if user choose to snooze for 15 minutes, the prompt disappears and wont show up again until 3 hours later (our inventory interval). If user choose to snooze for 8 hours the prompt shows up again after 3 hours, even though 8 hours snooze was chosen.
We are running KACE SMA Version v10.0.290 and version v9.1.318 - same problem on both servers.
Does anyone have this problem?
Do anyone now how to solve it?

What do you have selected under the 'Action' of the Manged Install? Under the notify option. For your "Alert user before run".

My understanding is to set that to "Install Now" - and they still will be presented with snooze options.
If it is set to install now, and they choose to snooze for 2 hours, the Managed Install will then install in 2 hours.
However, if they choose 3 hours + the machine will inventory again before the snooze time and they will get the prompt again.
here's an old thread with some more info:

Hopefully someone else in the community can chime in as well, I am not finding much online regarding the snooze options. - feeldamped 5 years ago-
okey, thats very bad implementation of a snooze funtion IMO.. and why even get the choice to choose the time if it dosenĀ“'t work? And i really cant have it installing automaticly if the user is away from the computer. i really hope thats not have this option works.. - Gustaffo 5 years ago
I agree.
However, I am still on an older version of the SMA. Hoping someone on a newer version can give you some more info on the snooze options. But, what I answered is how I was taught. - feeldamped 5 years ago
