System Error 1231 with Optiplex 9020 and KBE (x32 or x64)
Seems like the KBE driver for the NIC on Optiplex 9020s doesn't work. Everytime I try to boot one with a KBE I get various errors indicating its unable to get on the network (Pinging a server that is known to be up and responding from the prompt does not work).
This is what I've tried so far:
Downloaded and installed driverfeed for win7 x64, recached drivers, created new x64 boot environment with media manager, switched new boot environment to default.
Note: There isn't a BIOS update yet or that would have been my next step.

Drivers need to be installed and then recached. Unfortunately you'll also have to move a couple of them to another folder in the driver share manually.
I posted too soon. After a bit of reflection I went into the driver share on the K2000 and copied the network driver for the Optiplex 9020 I have into: \\[K2000 Name]\drivers\kbe_windows_x64\feed\dell\winpe\winpe\x64\network
That did the trick after re-caching and building a new 64 bit KBE. I suspect a similar process will work on 32 bit KBEs as well.
Leaving this up incase anyone else finds it useful.

Any chance you could get more specific on which files and what to name the directory, We still cant get the 9020 to work. - iggywork 10 years ago

It's been awhile since I had to deal with this but I'm pretty sure I had the K2000 download the driver feed for the Optiplex 9020 then I coped everything from: \\[K2000 Name]\drivers\windows_7_x64\feed\dell\9020\9020\win7\x64\network to \\[K2000 Name]\drivers\kbe_windows_x64\feed\dell\winpe\winpe\x64\network after that I re-cached the drivers and rebuilt the x64 boot environment with the media manager. - jcurran 10 years ago
