The K1000 system tray agent icon is no longer showing up on workstations.

We've been using the system tray icon for months now so users can control patch deployment and reboots. Recently the tray icon has stopped showing up on many of our computers. I've confirmed the settings for this on the server have not changed, have rebooted the clients etc but it will not show up. I have also manually run kmenu.exe, which in the past would get it to show up but this no longer works either. We're on server v. 11.0.273 and agent 11.0.119.

What exact version of Windows?

Any error messages in Windows Event logs or Agent logs?

  • Kevin, these were on Win 10 20h2 build 19042.985. I didn't find anything in the log files and the agents seemed to be working fine except for the tray icon not showing up. I've updated to the latest agent and that appears to have resolved the issue for now. - ScottAday 3 years ago
