Upgrading to 5.3.53053 from 5.2.38773 & changing the IP address.
While reading the upgrade instructions there is a part where it suggests changing your appliance IP. However there was really no steps in changing the IP address and wanted to make sure I was right before doing this.
Is this change made in the system organization, under Network Settings? Hit Edit at the top then change the Static IP Address from xxx.xxx.xxx.70 to xxx.xxx.xxx.71?
I was afraid making a change like this would cause me not to be able to log back into the appliance?

Answer Summary:
The method is correct. To login after the reboot, simply hit the machine by its new IP (DNS won't work unless you upgrade the A record).

We did not change the IP for our upgrade; it is not required but helpful because it prevents the agents from bombarding the appliance as soon as it restarts, which slows the install process. I believe that if ‘kboxmgmt/system’ does not come up in the browser after you change the IP address, you can replace 'kboxmgmt' with the IP that you set: ie ‘192.168.1.1/system’. Just make sure you record the new IP. You can test this on your existing appliance before making any changes.
Hope this helps.
