Uses for Samba Share

All,

I need a little bit of clarification. Can someone explain the uses of the samba share? We have had our K1 for a couple of years now, and I haven't been given a good explanation of it. Can I put images for KB articles? How about msi's with transforms? How do I reference the paths in the articles/scripts?
