What is recommended for the K2000 to PXE boot and wipe hard drive to DOD standards?

We have a ton of PCs we are disposing of by donating, recycling ... and need to wipe the hard drives with a certified product.
I have looked at several options and even found two good examples from a few years ago how to do this.

My issue with the free version of DBAN is does not say it is DOD 5220.2 certified. The same company sells BLANCCO which says it is certified but is rather costly for each hard drive it is used on.
Thanks in advance for any help with this.

DOD standards really need a 3rd party program to comply with them.  You can get a program like killdisk and use the KBEM to upload that with the pxe boot environment as an application.  You can then add the commands needed to run that and also uncheck deploy HTA so just that runs.

I know this is old, but I just posted a how-to for using Darik's Boot and Nuke to automatically wipe all hard drives as a KBE.

Hope this helps!
