Windows NT is the family name of the current windows series.

Windows XP is part of this family. Really it should mentioned as WinNT 5.1

Windows 8 is WinNT 6.2, btw.

If you want to check the differences, query google for the capabilities of the versions.

One does not simply write out the differences between Windows NT and Windows XP. Judging from your posts, you need some formal training, not access to a community of professionals. In short, these are questions you should know the answers to before you start posting here.
