What Windows Update Settings Do You Use if Patching with KACE?

Is there any advantage to selecting "Download updates but let me choose whether to install them" (Server 2012) or "DownloadOnly" (Server 2016) when using KACE to deploy Windows patches?  Will KACE see that the patches have already been downloaded to the server and thus skip pushing them, hopefully speeding things up a bit?

Or should I simply choose "Never check" (2012) or "Manual" (2016) and let KACE handle everything?

Thanks

This is much more a question of control, or the level of control that you want to have over your patching. If you leave windows update features in place you may not have full control as to when Windows update applies the patches and restarts your servers. If you want to only apply updates during a maintenance window and you want to control when your servers reboot then I would recommend that you disable this feature and rely on KACE for the updates.
