While uploading new Source Media to K2000, the size of image rises

Hi guys

I have slipstreamed the lateste Security Patches in to die Win 7 SP1 Pro iso imager.

Now, when i try to upload this to the K2000 Appliance the size of the iso image rises from 3.55GB up to 20.6GB and it is not possible to deploy this withhin an scripted installation.

Does anyone know why this happen?

Thanks in advanced!

Are you using the media manager to upload the media?

That does seem pretty large, are you sure you mounted the .iso and didn't select a directory that contained multiple .isos?

  • I'm having the same issue. I upload a 5GB iso for Windows 7 Ent x64 via the media manager. Then once it's finished, I check the Source Media section on the K2000 and it says that it's copying which takes a very long time....much longer than normally. After it's finally done, my source size is 40GB.

    • I should also state that I've slipstreamed updates into the iso, as well. - captains1stm8 8 years ago
      • Actually just figured it out. I was selecting the folder with the iso in it, so it was uploading the whole directory, which was My Documents. lol. Mounted the iso, pointed media manager to it, and it uploaded fine.

        thanks anyway! - captains1stm8 8 years ago
