Windows 7 error with scripted install

hi all,

i am trying to install windows 7 with a scripted install, it was working fine this morning now im getting this error:

Windows cannot copy files from Y:\oemfiles\90\$OEMS to c:\$WINDOWS.~LS\Sources.

has anyone else experienced this before?

  • I am also experncing this, any found a fix? All i added was a updated version of my office 2013 install (which is 2.6 gigs) - jgarcia29 8 years ago
    • Hi jgarcia29! I had the same problem. This problem it is in your post install (office). try remake your post install and upload in scripted install. - paulofreitasb2 6 years ago

This problem it is some post install, error on copy for machine. 
You can test, started scripted install, when start OS, back to menu screen, click in recovery > prompt command. try copy files do server to device. 

xcopy /E Y:\oemfiles\*CODE YOUR SCRIPTED INSTALL*\$OEM$ C:\$WINDOWS.~LS\Sources

and check which task is in error.

Appears to be a network connectivity issue. What is your network speed set to on the appliance? Any indications of issues on the console or logs? What about logs from your switches- anything there?
There again we might be way off base; more detail such as steps to re-create the problem will help.

well this started to being when i added a application to the post installation task, so i removed it and believe it or not it started working again....

Very crazy. Can you post the detail of the postinstall? Was it a KBE Postinstall, or OS Postinstall (Green or Blue on the list?)?
