Windows 7 Provisioning

Having issues deploying the agent to windows 7. Manual deployment works but trying from the kbox doesn't. Getting error about port 445 but I have network discovery and F&P sharing on and UAC off.

Do you have Windows Firewall turned on? I know it can cause problems.

Firewall is being controled via domain. It is off but there are a few ports that are specifically opened in the configuration.

In the provisioning configure you can select skip port check

Have you tried bypassing port checks? That occasionally helps as well. If provisioning doesn't work you might take an alternate approach like group policy, login script, or PSEXEC. The agent installer is available at \\yourKBOX1000\client\agent_provisioning\
There are some example login scripts in the admin guide and on the support site. I often take a combined approach actually; ultimately getting the agent into the corporate image as a long-term solution.

Using GPO: http://www.kace.com/support/kb/index.php?action=artikel&cat=2&id=848&artlang=en
Network Share/Login Script: http://www.kace.com/support/documentation/K1000_AdminGuide.pdf (Page 59)

Thanks all for your input. However if I can't push the agent to win7 from the KBOX, what does that do for other software I wan't to push to win7. Kind of defeating part of the purpose of the KBOX don't you think?

Once the agent is installed it's smooth sailing.
