Windows installation cannot continue because a required driver could not be installed
I keep getting this error message when I install via KACE, but when I install to the same system directly from the Windows 7 install DVD, everything is fine.

This is known as "overharvesting". This is more common with Windows 7 because a lot of hardware is currently supported by the install media, but not unheard of with the other [older] OS's. As Corey said, best practice is to lay down an existing Scripted Install *before* harvesting any drivers (This goes for Win7, XP, Server 2003, 2008, or anything else really). After the install completes, determine which hardware you still need drivers for and install them from your favorite resource (I recommend the manufacturer's site), then harvest/upload to KBOX only what you installed. Recache, and deploy the Scripted Install again. All should be well this go-round.
As for the step of copying drivers from KBOX to your desktop (or any other storage location), Corey is providing instruction for cleaning up an overharvesting scenario. The overall idea being to move things off KBOX, then slowly return them until you find the conflcting driver(s). This is avoidable by following the other method, but quite usable if you're already experiencing the issue.
