Windows Server 2008 as NFS?
I just completed the 3.4 update for the K2. I would like to take advantage of the offboard storage capabilities, and as I understand it, in theory I could use my existing Windows Storage Server 2008 as a NFS to service some TBs to the K2.
However, it seems there are some bugs standing in the way, and we can expect that eventually the W2k8 would work, but not until the issue is resolved.
It would be very unfortunate to buy new hardware when our existing hardware would work in a few weeks, or a few months.
Is there any sort of workaround for the bug? Is there any estimate on the resolution? If it is a matter of weeks I think I can hold off, but if we are talking months (or years), then I will just have to start figuring out quotes ReadyNAS or Synology :( .
Thanks!
