XP Scripted Install Error - cannot find the path specified
Hello,
I'm just getting started with the K2000, so my apologies if I'm making a newbie mistake, here. I'm trying to create a scripted XP installation, but I get the following error immediately after my preinstall tasks have run:
The system cannot find the path specified.
File not found - C:\txtsetup.sif
etc.
Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong? I've tried using the built in preinstall tasks for creating a single partition, formatting it as NTFS, and updating the MBR, and I've tried customizing the partition creation script, but nothing seems to work. These are the only preinstall tasks I'm running.
Any suggestions are welcome.

I think this is an issue when the scripted install can't find the source media.
By any chance did you upload an ISO?
Try going to library -> source media -> click on your XP CD.
At the very top, in the URL you'll see source id = (and some number).
Next connect to \\{you kbox hostname or ip}\peinst.
Click source CDs and then the number you found from the URL.
You should see your install files. If you don't or if you see an ISO re-upload your CD.
If it's an ISO mount or extract the ISO first.

Thanks for the reply. I ended up talking to a KACE tech on Friday, and you're exactly right. In my case, it wasn't that I uploaded the .iso file, it was that I uploaded the contents of Windows XP Service Pack 3 CD, thinking it was actually a complete install CD with SP3 slipstreamed.
After uploading the real XP SP3 slipstreamed CD, everything is working fine.
Thanks!
