For 4.5, this was a native .msi.

Just double-click the VMware-viewclient-4.5.0-293049.exe, and find the folder in %temp% where it extracts the files to. You can then create a standard transform to deploy this.

Used the following to silently install v4.6:
VMware-viewclient-4.6.0-366101.exe" /s /v"/qn REBOOT=Reallysuppress VDM_SERVER=view.server.name ADDLOCAL=Core,TSSO" /l c:\windows\logs\vmwareview_v4.6.log

FYI A successful install will return an exit code of 3010 which could still cause a reboot.
