Backup K2000 appliance and migrate to VM?
Hi,
I am looking for a migration procedure to backup my K2000 appliance and migrate to VM

I don't know of a procedure per say but start by going to settings and maintenance>Package Management
Select objects to export to the samba share by going into Export K2000 packages. You can also schedule items to export and with the off board package transfer can point those items to another server (ftp, sftp, or samba)

Here are some best practices when dealing with exporting items from the K2000:

Also, I believe that the hardware and VMs require different keys, so unless you have already purchased, you should talk to your sales rep. - andrew_lubchansky 11 years ago
Please refer to the K2000 3.4 admin guide, pg 124

Note: Before restoring files to your virtual K2000 appliance, please ensure that the version matches your physical appliance.

This topic is not discussed in the user guide, but perhaps the backup/restore topic might be useful. - tech@chch.org 10 years ago
