So i dont really want the quotes in history when it's emailed

IS there anyway to fix this? Is anyone else getting the same problem?

The "&quot;" is a bug in the KBOX which I believe was tied to an earlier version of 5.3.  Open a ticket with KACE support and there is a patch that should resolve it.
