Create child tickets based on Yes/No criteria within the parent ticket

I am working to create a ticket layout that contains multi-select Yes/No Questions and based on those answers create child tickets. I have seen a few articles that state this can be done in KACE, but none of those articles explains the process or the ticket rules needed. I am basically creating a "New Hire" process ticket and within that ticket I'll ask a series of Yes/No questions and if they answer = Yes I want a child ticket created. If the answer =No then I want the child ticket skipped and not created.

Can anyone point me in the right direction in creating the ticket rule to successfully create this process?

From our experience this level of functionality within KACE is not possible

  • However whilst it is not possible to create tickets from inside a ticket rule, it is possible to delete, so another possibility would be to create all tickets for the process, and then based on the tick boxes delete the unwanted tickets...contact me for more info - Hobbsy 6 years ago
