Creating new licenses issue in Asset Management

Hi All,

Noticed an issue when trying to create a new license. I want to add my cataloged software onto this license. When I try to create a new license (Asset Management - Licenses - New), the "Applies to Software" field already have some software filled in. I'm unable to remove them. I want to add software onto the "Applies to Cataloged Software" field.

However, when I navigate to Inventory - Software Catalog, select a software, and add a new license from that screen; it would allow me to create a new license fine. Once created, I'm able to add other Cataloged Software into that license. But, if I try to remove one afterwards, it would delete all the Cataloged Software I have entered previously and have the same software included in the "Applies to Software" field.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

  • Can you explain why you can't remove the selected items in Applies to Software? You should be able to Ctrl-Click on the selected items to have them become unselected. - chucksteel 6 years ago
    • Oh wow, I thought there would be a Remove button as compared to the Applies to Cataloged Software field.

The Ctrl + Click de-selected the software and I was able to create the license.

      Thanks chucksteel! - james.chenE46 6 years ago
