K1000 Dameware MRC v10 Deployment issue

We are trying to deploy the Dameware MRC v10 to our technicians via KACE.  We have all the scripts working for the deployement except for setting the default settings for the MRC DWRCS.reg file (things like requiring approval for connection, center dialog, etc).  Apparently in v10 Solarwinds moved this field to the HKCU tree, and we have been unable to find a way to inject the custom settings into the field (ends up orphaned).  Note: we have the deployment of the client file working, this is for the tech's MRC (Mini-Remote Control) so that a tech doesnt accidently overwrite the client settings - i.e. we are trying to make sure both deployments match. The tech's at Solarwinds dont have a solution.

  • I posted the wrong location, the settings are located in "HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-790525478-1647877149-725345543-47639\Software\DameWare Development\Agent Configuration\Mini Remote Control Service\Settings" - of course every user is going to have a different S-1-5-21-xxx number, so a simple merge of the key is not working. Does anyone have a script that grabs the users ID that can then be injected into a batch file to update the ID in the reg file to properly merge the settings? - gke565 11 years ago

If it puts information in HKCU, try deploying the MRC with an online kscript and run it as logged in user.
