Dell Kace K2000 Office Pro 2010 OEM Deployment questions
I have Office 2010 Pro OEM and I need to be able to deploy it via the K2000. Is there some way to do this without entering the real key? I don't want every machine to use the same OEM key.
It would be great if there was a way to get it deployed and then once it's done activate it as either a manual step or an automatic one via the K2000.

Ok the way I got around OEM distribution is use an OEM key from "any" machine to deploy then you have to manually go to appwiz.cpl, select Microsoft Office 2010 and change the OEM key to the one for the machine. The change product code is the last selection.
Are you running KMS in your environment for the windows OS?

No it's all OEM from Dell. I'm ok with Windows and I've found some info on Office and Adobe which I'm investigating now. I will followup if they pan out. - petelanglois 11 years ago
Could you include the Office install in your System Image and then go around an manually enter in the Activation keys after it has booted up for the first time? Havent worked with OEM Office install for quite some time, so not sure if you need the key for install.

I'm not doing system images at this time. Eventually I will have one image per type of Dell PC but I'm just getting started. - petelanglois 11 years ago

If you are sticking with Scripted Installs because of the hardware flexibility, please keep in mind that System Images can be made to utilize the Driver Feed, therefore giving you the ability to create hardware agnostic images. - andrew_lubchansky 11 years ago
