Dell PowerEdge 2950 RAID disk data loss
I lost one of the RAID one disk on this dell PE 2950. Wasn't able to boot from the single remaining drive. How do I ensure I get back my data that was lost from the other disk.

Answer Summary:
The remaining drive should have an exact copy of the data on the other drive you lost. Make a copy of the remaining drive if it is extremely important. You can either replace the bad disk and rebuild the mirror, or break the mirror and use the second drive as a single drive. I would recommend the former.

RAID 1 is mirrored, so the single remaining drive should have an exact copy of the data on the other drive you lost. Before doing anything, I would make a ghost or other copy of the remaining drive. To get the other drive running, you can either replace the bad disk and rebuild the mirror, or break the mirror and use the second drive as a single drive. I would recommend the former.
