Deploying IE10 Via Patch

IE10 is capable of being deployed through windows update.  I believe it is KB2718695.  I have checked my patch listings and it does not appear to be on the box.  I do not download software installers only updates and security patches.  First, is this is the correct KB for IE10?  Second, is it available through KACE? Finally, would the system treat this as an installer and not download it?  If so, how would I download just that one installer?

Thanks!

Do a search for MS 2718695. It's in mine.

Comments:
  • It does not appear to be in mine, so now I suspect it is the lack of installers downloading causing the problems. Do you know if it is possible to download just the one installer without getting all the others that would be downloaded with it? - dimitris 11 years ago
    • That patch actually doesn't fall into any of my patch labels and it still shows. It just lets me know it isn't downloaded. Do you have "display disabled patches on patch listing" checked? - dugullett 11 years ago
  • It does show once I display disabled patches. Nice catch. Now I am curious why that would be disabled by default, but I can move forward with the roll out. Thanks! - dimitris 11 years ago
  • When you open the patch and look at the bottom where the "Contained in the subscriptions" section is. are you subscribed to that under Subscription Settings? - nshah 11 years ago
    • I was not downloading software and IE10 was classified as software, not a patch. Thanks. - dimitris 11 years ago
