Does anyone know of a way to script the install of custom stamps for adobe reader / professional

Hi all,

We have a number of Stamps that we attach to our documents to legalize them before sending. But every time we deploy a new version of adobe acrobat reader or writer via the Kace agent we have to manually go to the machines and install them again. Does anyone know a way to script this so it can be done as part of the install?

  • Are you doing that adobe reader versions as msp patches or KACES updates?

If you are making the patches/scripts your self read the Adobe Reader Administration Guide http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/index.html It has a lot of very useful information relating to scripting installation and keep settings - jlbob 11 years ago

you can use the Adobe Customisation Wizzard and import pre-set watermark xml files

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\VERSION\Preferences\HeaderFooter

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\ Acrobat\VERSION\Preferences\HeaderFooter

are their stored location

I've found that it's easy to use the Adobe tool to create an MST with the basics but then open it in AdminStudio (or your tool of choice) to add files or reg keys.  The Adobe tool isn't very good at adding files/reg keys, just answering the setup questions.
