Does asset manager track asset history
hello, my organization have been asked to provide proof that an ex-employees re-allocated laptop has been turned in, we can show that the laptop is being used by another user but our records do not show that the ex-employee used it, does the asset managment tool on the k1000 provide a list of previous users/history?

The asset does keep track of history. If the machine record in inventory since it was redeployed is the same one then it should be mapped to the same asset meaning the asset history should show things like the change of the last known user.
If the machine has a new inventory record because it was wiped and couldn't match up then there will be a separate inventory record for the old machine which should contain that data. You could prove they were in fact the same machine because of the serial number. It is possible that the old inventory record would be deleted. The old record could be deleted manually by an admin or automatically if you configured the inventory to automatically delete machines that have not checked-in for X days. Automatic deletion is not the default.
