This is a great tool first off. Am I missing something during the build? I keep getting 2 uninstallers for each package I build/install...

Could you be more specific what you mean by "2 uninstallers"; uninstall shortcuts, ARP entries...?

Two uninstaller items in the add/remove programs list. They are always different file sizes as well.

Could it be that the AppDeploy Repackager's default exclustion list has been corrupt in some way and therefore includes the original "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\<product name>" registry entry?
Check the MSI for any related uninstall Registry table entry.

thanks for the help. i'll check that out and let you know....

EDIT: just tried a few more, I'm still getting 2 entries in Add/Remove everytime. I must be doing something wrong....
(I am making sure the unistall reg string is being excluded during packing) *scratches head*

By manually editing out the unistall reg entry from the xml file, I can get it down to one uninstall entry in Add/Remove. But unless I'm doing it wrong, I am checking the box to exclude that string......

You have to check the box to exclude the item, enter a description of the item for future use, and then click the button to move the item from the "included" list to the "excluded" list. Not successfully removing the uninstall information from the captured setup is definitely the issue. There is a quick how to here:

More in-depth documentation will be provided shortly.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that uninstall reg excluded by default?
