Has anyone been successful in capturing the Apple Warranty using a custom inventory rule?
I would like to be able to use a custom inventory rule to somehow pull the warranty information for all of our MACS.
Has anyone been successful in getting this to work or have you found another way to get this information into the K1000 inventory?
ThanksĀ

I used a method similar to this:
Instead of running the script as a software rule, however, I setup a KACE script that executes it and stores the data in a file. I then have a custom inventory rule that pulls in the results of that file. A smart label identifies Apple hardware that does not have that custom inventory rule and the KACE script targets that smart label. This way the computers aren't pinging the Apple servers every time they run an inventory update.
