How do you run a .zip file in K1000

How do you run a .zip file in K1000. I have some software that I would like to push but it's in a .zip file and I an not sure how to do that.

Like MacDude said use a managed install. Put a batch file that does the installs inside the zip.  Upload the zip as the file for the MI and call the bat to do the job.


even if you are just using xcopy to move files this way you have a record of the install.  You can create your own custom software items and upload the zip to that.

A Managed Install will automatically unzip a .ZIP file if it finds one. For File Distribution you have the option of uncompressing the file or leaving it zipped. 

As stated, there is a Scripting command to unzip as well.
